The Book:

The Home Equity Acceleration Plan (H.E.A.P.)

And you can have your name on the cover!

I’ve decided to create as a stand-alone book The Home Equity Acceleration Plan.

            Why?

Most of the people buying The Home Equity Management Guidebook™ (which has chapter 11 a 50 page chapter on H.E.A.P.) do not buy the book for that H.E.A.P. chapter.    They buy the book because they want to learn how to remove equity from a home (Equity Harvesting) to build more wealth (not pay off the home early).   They want to learn the Missed Fortune 101 concept the “correct” way with honest and real math.

So far teaching Equity Harvesting in my new book, has been a real success.

Having said that, I’m underselling H.E.A.P. and as I’ve found out from traffic on my web-site http://www.heaplan.com. The interest in H.E.A.P. is much higher from the consumer than the interest in Equity Harvesting (even though paying off the mortgage for many is not the best way to build wealth).

Therefore, I’m going to change the 50 page chapter in my current book to more like a 2-5 page chapter on H.E.A.P. and I’m going to refer readers who have more of an interest in paying off their home early to read the new H.E.A.P. book.

The new book is not quite done, but my guess is that it will be between 100-125 pages.  I’ll significantly expand the use of H.E.A.P. to pay off other debts and to fund life insurance.

You can have your name on the cover

I’ve had tremendous success with what I call my “ghost book.”   It’s a 350 page book that I wrote that covers many of the advanced topics from my certification courses.  The ghost book is one I “co-author” with an advisor whose name goes on the cover and bio goes on the inside.  Advisors hand it out as their own co-authored book and it’s the best business card you could ever hand out.   I DO NOT sell the ghost book in any form to the general public or to other advisors and I allow exclusivity for those who purchase in a particular part of the country.

Not everyone wants or needs a 350 page book with their name on it that covers the “advanced topics” covered in my cert. courses.

Having said that, I know many people like the idea of having their name on a book to hand out to clients.

I’ve had the request from a few advisors who know I am creating a stand alone H.E.A.P. book to allow them to write the “forward” to the book.

That allows me to put the advisor’s name on the front cover and a nice little section in the book where that person would tell why they thought it was important to write the forward, bio info. on that person, and their contact information should readers of the book want to have someone run numbers and help them setup H.E.A.P.

I envision something simple at the bottom of the front cover in font the reader can see. It will saying something like:

Forward by Joe Smith, President of ……….(probably financial,  insurance, or mortgage firm).

Then one the first things the reader will see when they open up the book is the 1-3 page forward by that person with their bio and contact info.

My goal with an advisor’s ability to write the forward is simply to allow them to have their name on the cover of a book they think is important so they can indicate to clients their belief in helping clients with the subject matter and help advisors market themselves better.

For the price point of the new marketing idea, it will be a very easy decision for many who are looking to differentiate themselves from their competition.

Who else in your area has their name on the cover of a book, comments inside as to why readers should read the book, and then their contact info if the local reader needs more help.

I have not figured out the price point for allowing advisors to put their name on the cover.  It will be significantly less than the ghost book I offer as advisors will not be going on as a “co-author” and instead will simply be writing the forward.

I may consider exclusivity in local areas with the H.E.A.P. book as well, but I’m not sure.  If I do that, I will offer territories first to those who have purchased their own H.E.A.P. web-site; then it will be first come first serve after that.

If you have an interest in having your name on the cover of this book and writing the forward, please click here.

No matter what I charge to put someone’s name on the cover and write the forward, I now have a reimbursement source for insurance advisors.  If you sell life insurance or annuities, I have an IMO that will reimburse you whatever I charge for you to write the forward to the new H.E.A.P. book.

So, if you are putting $10,000-$100,000+ of target premium (life or annuity) through an IMO that is not willing to reimburse you for expenses for such terrific and unique marketing tools, you are not working with the right IMO.
